Allergic To Life
Kathryn C. Treat Imagine that the very food you eat and the beautiful carpet on your floors start to make you feel violently ill. Your contact lenses cause your eyes to burn and water uncontrollably. Trace amounts of mold on other people's clothing cause you to become unable to hold a thought or get it from your brain to your mouth during an everyday conversation. The life you once knew is gone and you have become a prisoner of unexplainable and severe allergies and sensitivities. In this new life you can no longer shop or visit friends in their homes because there are too many chemicals and fragrances there. You become plagued by one mystery infection after another and no doctor or specialist seems to be able to give you any explanation of what's causing your terrifying symptoms. Depression sets in and becomes your constant companion as you try to cope with the stress of being sick and of struggling to live within your newfound limitations. ""Allergic to Life: My Battle for Survival, Courage and Hope"" is the story of one woman's journey through a battle to reclaim her life and overcome depression caused by an exposure to toxic mold in her workplace. |
The Miracle Ship
Brian O'Hare Do you believe in miracles? Do you believe in demonic possession? Do you believe in exorcism? A little girl with irreparable brain damage was pronounced dead by two hospital specialists. Today she is a healthy teenager. A teenage boy whose spine was crushed by a lorry was diagnosed as permanently paralysed. He now plays football with his friends. A curse that brought death over five generations has been lifted. People tormented by demons have been set free. How were such miracles wrought? What do they have in common? They have John Gillespie in common. Who is he? How has he been gifted with such extraordinary power? The Miracle Ship tells John’s story. But it does so much more than that. Yes, the book essentially focuses on miracles. Yes it contains many extraordinary stories of healing and deliverance. Yes, it focuses strongly on the spiritual warfare that so many Christians are engaged in without any awareness of its dangers. But the book goes to the very heart of what is needed to find healing and deliverance. It tells of the obstacles and difficulties that get in the way of true healing prayer. It reveals the many pitfalls that lie in wait in seemingly innocent healing practices. It spells out in detail the serious dangers that underpin many apparently beneficial New Age therapies. And it offers many examples of the kinds of prayers and life-styles that can bring healing to the body and to the mind. It can even turn around lives that are falling apart (and this has already been several times communicated to the author or John Gillespie by people who have already read this book on Kindle). |

A Personal Journey To The Heart Of Teaching
by John Fioravanti In 1973, John Fioravanti began a very important personal journey: he became a teacher. After more than thirty years in the profession he loves, he looks back at the path he has followed, and reflects not just on what he has taught his students, but on the lessons they have taught him. With faultless honesty, he recounts the personal demons he faced, the triumphs he enjoyed, and the insights he has gained on his quest to the heart of teaching. |
Through The Keyhole: True Stories Not For The Faint Of Heart
by Liz Cowan People think nothing of divulging the most personal and inappropriate things. Information not meant for public consumption and better forgotten. But the inclination to shock others by sharing such stories is too hard to resist. Sneak a peek "Through the Keyhole" into the VIP airport lounge where snowbound passengers divulge the most personal and inappropriate tales. They are definitely not meant for public consumption and better forgotten, but oh so hard to resist sharing. Listen in on these true stories and do not be surprised if your reactions run the gamut from uncomfortable smiles to outright laughter and somewhere in between. If you enjoy a good laugh, then this book is for you. |
Our Lady Of Victory
by Shirley Harris-Slaughter One act set in motion a chain of events that threatened one Catholic community's ability to thrive. It happened between 1945 and 1946 at the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Detroit in the Chancellor's office. Msgr. John C. Ryan called an emergency meeting with the cardinal... And so the stage was set for the years of turmoil that followed and the subsequent demise of this once vibrant church. Here comes the author who gives the reader an intimate look at her church, the township she grew up in, and its historical significance to World War II, Henry Ford's auto plant, migration from the south, and the housing crisis that was unfolding. The reader is introduced to the pioneers of this West Eight Mile Community who helped shape and establish this community that shaped her. But the book takes a different turn as the research uncovers forgotten secrets... |

Deceived: Soul Keeper
by L. A. Starkey They say a soul is the immaterial essence, the animating principle, the actuating cause of an individual life. But what if you had to share yours with the one person you hated the most? The soul mate principle states that for every one soul there is another that will recognize its match, hence creating the perfect union. But what if you had two soul mates, which would you choose? What if your choices had eternal ramification? Deceived, the debut novel in the Soul Keeper Series, is a modern day love story about the implications of having more than one soul mate, and having to choose between the two of them. The decisions of the gods has left the next generation, their heirs, torn between fate and reality, and the balance of the future hangs in anticipation of what's to come. |
How To Get Anything You Want
by Mike Nach This magickal book will help you uncover the “true” manifestation secrets which were kept hidden from us by the ancient manifestation masters. The Law of Attraction (LOA) principles taught by the modern gurus are just the tip of the iceberg. The LOA does not begin or end with- ask, visualize, take action and you will receive. Yes! There’s a lot more to the LOA. It works but you've just got to know the right process. The ancient masters discovered an invisible substance permeating our universe which they called the “akashic fluid.” This substance is the building block of matter. In order to successfully manifest anything you desire, you need to harness the immense power of the akashic fluid. To get there, you can either make a magick mirror, a powerful manifestation tool, or DIY with the help of exercises taught in this book. |

Fugue
by J. P. Sitler Fugue depicts our emotional lives as onyx-like patterns of colors, shades of gray, the deep black of a feather and the white light of clarity. What if one day you were checking your email and discovered an email sent from a dead friend? What would you do? What if these strange emails, texts, cell phone messages, full of intimate knowledge of both you, kept invading your space? At first, you might search your computer for clues of someone hacking into your system. If that did not produce results, you might be desperate enough to seek out a psychic and in the end, you would probably end up on a psychoanalyst's couch. |

Heaven's Waiting Room
Clare Wilson
I was having one of those summers. Nothing was happening and time seemed to be dragging. What I didn't realise, was that time was in fact moving along rather quickly; I was just out of step.
It's a funny thing. I had been stressing about whether or not to go to university, my parents, all the usual stuff, but I needn't have bothered. Life, or should I say, death, has a way of making those decisions for you.
So, here I am. Heaven didn't want me and earth is just as scary for the dead as it is for the living. Do I know what I'm going to do with my life, sorry, my afterlife? Well, if they say life is for the living, this must be for the rest of us...

Connor
by Dormaine G
I, Connor, thought I was the average sarcastic teenager, living a normal boring life like everyone else with a crazy, annoying family. Wrong. I recently discovered that I have certain abilities. Abilities that link me to others like me, and others, unlike me, who want to cause me harm.
I found out this world is not what I thought, as well as the strange creatures in it, and that frightens me. I had to grow up fast and find the strength to defend myself from those beings who don’t want me here or who will take my strengths by any means necessary.
Throughout this craziness, I met a wonderful guy named Tony, who has abilities too. With him and five others like us we discover who we are and how we came to be.
Then there is Ronin, a being who is young, smart, and cunning. He is set on taking his revenge out on me yet I have no idea why.

Daydreams' Daughter, Nightmare's Friend
by Nonnie Jules
"She was one horrible mess. Always looking over her shoulder and avoiding becoming too friendly with the neighbors. That anxiety stemmed from a horrible place. Always fearing that someone would recognize her face, she kept to herself and didn't go out much. And when she did, no matter the season, she wore some kind of hat or covering on her head, enough to shield her face.
Walter never understood why she was such a loner, avoiding people at all cost and just being very anti-social outside of the house. Houston was originally her home, not his, yet she didn't even want her own family and friends to know that she had returned. The only person she found herself being able to really open up with was Walter. And although she tried to make him feel otherwise, he knew that there was still a huge wall up that even he would never be able to see over or climb."
Marisa had a secret and if it was ever revealed, it would cost her her life and her freedom.

Annwyn's Blood
Michael Eging
When Marianna was spirited away by unknown raiders, everyone expected a ransom demand to soon follow. Such was the peril of everyday royal life in the chaotic times following abandonment of the misty isles of Albion by indifferent Rome. But when weeks went by without word her father, High King Mattheus, dispatched teams of trusted warriors to find her and bring her assailants to account.
Young Erik, Scion of the House of Birkenshire, was one of these. Separated from his comrades and alone in hostile territories, he plunged headlong into forgotten vales and desolate coasts in pursuit, driven onward by precious memories of stolen tender moments. Then he stood before the grim fortress – wherein he found, not the innocent damsel of his youthful desires, but a terrifying beauty borne of an ancient evil that bound his soul to an even more primal force bent on regaining its place in the halls of human exaltation.
Now caught between two worlds, he must resist the temptations of his beloved-turned-succubus while protecting his family, his people and his world from the encroaching grasp of Arawn, Lord of Annwyn, Ruler of the Dead, Elder God of the Mabinogion. In this journey to regain his soul, the knight must find a way to strike the fatal blow against a resurgent primal darkness.

Helen Treharne
Relative Strangers
Helen Treharne
Meet Sophie Morgan… practical, Welsh, prone to occasional profanity, and seemingly a vampire magnet.
Sophie Morgan is 23 and has always done the right thing. She’s caused no stress for her family, worked hard through university, has taken a successful leap onto the career ladder and nurtured a reasonably healthy bank balance. It’s no small surprise then when, on a post relationship break-up, mini-break to Antwerp, she pursues a pair of thieves who steal her friend’s handbag. But this is only the start of her world being turned upside down. Ripped from the streets into a dark alley she is violently attacked, barely alive when quirky Irish bar worker, Michael Kelly, stumbles across the scene.
The pair, shocked by their experience and uncertain whether they have killed her attacker in the brawl which follows, go into the night for answers. They get more than they bargained for. Sophie quickly learns that vampires exist, her neighbours back home aren’t what they seem and new boyfriends can be found in the strangest of situations.

A Wizard Dreams
Robin Chambers
Key events in childhood indicate Gordon's powers are getting stronger...
How does he deal with bullies? How about ghosts, fairies and wizards...?
How seriously weird do things get around his eleventh birthday? And what’s his sixteen greats grandmother got to do with it...?
Very few children get to go where he gets to go...
Book 1 ends on 6th September 2010 – Gordon’s first morning in secondary school: when he finds out for certain that he’s not the only one. There’s a girl in the frame...
This story will make you laugh quite a lot, but I warn you that in places it makes me cry...
The Myrddin’s Heir series will challenge you. One of my most important questions, therefore, is: “Are YOU up for the challenge?”

The Cock Of The South
C. S. Boyack
The Southern Dwarves are a conquered race. Scattered and hidden they must flee the legions of Remus before they all become slaves.
An unlikely dwarf, known as Cobby, leads them to a place where they can live in peace. He discovers other downtrodden races along the way and recruits them to his mission. These include centaurs, Amazons, satyrs, and more. There aren't enough of anyone to make a difference, but together they might stand a chance.
There are quite a few dwarf stories around, and I wanted to do something different with them. The setting is Greco Roman, and the times are brutal. This book contains violence, you have been warned.
It was fun trying to keep what readers expect from dwarves, and still add something different. Part Spartacus, part Exodus, I hope you will give The Cock of the South a chance.

The Glade
Harmony Kent
You are being arrested for the murder of your husband...You have a secret you can't tell...The evil is gathering...
The Wenstrops have it all: health, wealth and happiness. But then it all begins to fall apart. Helen is arrested for murder, yet is either unable or unwilling to give a defence. During her detention, vital evidence goes mysteriously missing and tensions are running high. Helen finds herself surrounded and yet alone: not knowing who she can trust or how she can tell her enemies from her friends. Helen has to work through her self-doubts and fears, in order to know whether her suspicions and misgivings are valid or simply products of an overwrought mind. There are those who would like to encourage her confusion, and those who would help her – but how to know one from the other? And then there are those who actively mean her harm. Meanwhile, malignant forces in the forest are gathering power, ready for a final assault. Helen finds herself in a battle of life and death, and faces having to lose everything in her attempts to thwart the evil that has insinuated itself into her very existence - but is she ready to make the ultimate sacrifice?

Garrett Addison
Enter the world of an unnamed family man struggling in his pursuit of a work/life balance. Confident, capable and unafraid of his manager, opportunities abound as he embraces his altered state away from home.
Sometimes to get the measure of your life you just need a break from being yourself... because nothing lasts forever.

Passion And Struggle
John Fioravanti
Marco Rossini is a historian with no political aspirations, and no desire for power. However, he possesses unique knowledge that is about to change his life: he knows the human history of the planet Earth.
The Year is 2796 CE, and on the planet Genesis, human civilization looks very similar to the world it left behind. One difference dominates: a Church, created by the United Nations to compel peace, has ruled for seven centuries. Now, in the wake of a brutal war that aligned humanity with the new rulers of Earth, the old ways have been shattered, and Genesis needs a new, egalitarian government. Marco is the right man to help lead the change, but as the professor soon discovers, the battle between Church and state is far from over, and both sides are willing to spill blood.
Struggling to remake his world, to find love, and to survive in troubled political waters, can Marco Rossini change history?

Allergic To Life
Kathryn Treat
Imagine that the very food you eat and the beautiful carpet on your floors start to make you feel violently ill.

The Curse of Sea Shell Cave
John Priest
It's school holiday time and the JPIs are staying at their favourite place in Portsmouth, UK. The Pelican Hotel is owned by Stan's gran Muriel Larkin and she's always delighted to see them arrive. This holiday is different. A horrible black depression hovers over the hotel. The children sense it straight away but their parents won't discuss it. Stan won't talk, not even to Harry his best friend and locks himself in his bedroom. The JPIs are warned not to step foot on Muriel's private beach because the sand has turned green and the council think it's poisonous. That meant they couldn't go near Sea Shell Cave either. Earth tremors at night are so ferocious they rock the very foundations of the building. Muriel thinks everything is cursed; the beach, the hotel and Sea Shell Cave. The JPIs don't have the same feeling. After noticing strange goings on in the hotel and on the public beach, they think something or someone is responsible for everything that is happening. They intend to find out who and why. It will lead them into life-threatening danger and will be their toughest case yet.

Soul Ties
Angelia Vernon Menchan
Denisha jumped out of her skin when Fletcher stood up, turning on the light. The shock on her face quickly changed to a mocking look. The one she always got when she knew she was wrong and no longer cared. He knew she had not cared for a long time and tonight was the final proof. There was so much he wanted to say but he refused to utter a word. Making his way to the room where his twin sons slept, he sat in the recliner next to their beds. The words his mother had uttered two years earlier pounded in his head, “Son, be careful who you tie your soul to, everything that is good to you is not good for you and ripe fruit soon spoils.”
